There is no rental counter at PortMiami. Instead of shuttling to the airport after you disembark, we bring the car to your terminal and hand you the keys. Tesla, EV and SUV rentals from $85/day.

Is there a car rental at the Port of Miami? Not inside the port — every major agency runs from Miami International Airport or an off-site lot, which means a shuttle, taxi or rideshare before anyone hands you keys. Amped Auto Rentals delivers the car to your cruise terminal instead. We meet you in the terminal pickup area, hand over the keys, and you drive out. Car rates start at $85/day for the Chevrolet Equinox EV, $89 for the Tesla Model 3, $90 for the Nissan Rogue SV, $95 for the Tesla Model Y and $115 for the 8-passenger Nissan Pathfinder SV. Add a $10/day booking fee and 7.5% Florida sales tax; multi-day discounts apply automatically (5% at 3 days, 10% at 7, 20% at 30). Terminal delivery is $120 flat, or free on rentals of 7 days or more, and there is no charge to return the car somewhere else inside our service area.

Every fee itemized before you book. Change the vehicle, the length and the extras to see exactly what you would pay.
That works out to $92.24 per day.
You are saving $59.50 with the 10% multi-day discount. Terminal delivery is free at 7+ days (a $120.00 saving). Using your own coverage saves $350.91 versus a protection plan.
Estimate only. Tolls are billed separately after return at cost. Final pricing is confirmed at booking and may vary by date and availability.
Our rental policy requires every rental to carry comprehensive and collision coverage, and we cannot release a vehicle without it. Florida law separately requires liability and personal injury protection coverage. You choose where the comprehensive and collision comes from.
If your personal auto policy carries comprehensive and collision and extends to rental vehicles, it acts as primary coverage for the whole rental. Nothing extra to buy.
Your own policy becomes primary, so a claim goes through your insurer and your deductible applies. If your proof does not show both coverages, we will reach out to add a plan before delivery.
Rental protection provided by Bonzah and purchased during checkout. Nothing to verify, nothing to upload, no reliance on your personal policy or deductible.
Adds about $351 to a 7-day rental. Renting for a month or more? Call (786) 981-1177 about booking through our Turo listings instead, where protection on longer trips is priced more favourably.
Canopy Connect verification needs an internet connection and access to your insurance account. That is easy at home and difficult from a ship at sea. If you are flying in from another state or country, check now whether your policy carries comprehensive and collision that extends to rental vehicles — and whether the named insured matches whoever is renting. If it does not qualify, budget for the Bonzah plan up front rather than finding out on disembarkation morning. Not sure? Call or text (786) 981-1177 before your sailing and we will check with you.
And what disembarking passengers usually do instead.

Tell us your ship and disembarkation date and we confirm the exact meeting point.
Terminal assignments change by season and sailing. We confirm your meeting point by text the day before.
No airport concession fees. No counter upsell. Terminal delivery included on 7+ day rentals.

Tolls are the most common unpleasant surprise on a South Florida rental bill, and almost every post-cruise route crosses one.
Amped Auto Rentals vehicles do. Every car has a SunPass transponder already installed and active, so you drive through the SunPass lanes like a local. Miami expressways are all-electronic — there is no cash lane anywhere on them, which catches out a lot of visitors driving off a ship.
Tolled on the usual post-cruise routes: Florida's Turnpike and the Homestead Extension · the Dolphin Expressway (SR-836) toward MIA · the Airport Expressway (SR-112) · the I-95 and Palmetto express lanes · the Rickenbacker Causeway to Key Biscayne · the Venetian Causeway.
Not tolled: the MacArthur and Julia Tuttle Causeways — the two routes to Miami Beach, and the shortest drive from the terminal · US-1 · Biscayne Boulevard · the regular lanes of I-95.
Driving the Keys? US-1 south of Florida City is toll-free for its entire length, including all forty-two bridges. If you drive through a gantry without a transponder, the plate is photographed and billed under Toll-by-Plate at double the SunPass rate — which is exactly what happens to renters who collect from an agency that does not fit one.
The things worth knowing before you pay, in plain language. Everything here comes from our Terms & Conditions, which govern in full.
Sailing with an international party? Out-of-state and international licenses are accepted at our discretion — call (786) 981-1177 to confirm before you book.
From PortMiami: Fort Lauderdale is ~30 miles each way, Key West and back is ~330 miles total, and Orlando is ~235 miles each way. The 300-mile daily allowance covers most post-cruise trips comfortably.
Every vehicle is 100% non-smoking and non-vaping, including cannabis and e-cigarettes. A flat $400 fee applies to any evidence of smoking, with no exceptions.

There are no rental car counters inside PortMiami. Every major agency operates from Miami International Airport or from off-site lots, which means a shuttle or rideshare before you can collect a vehicle. Amped Auto Rentals solves this by delivering the car directly to your cruise terminal. We meet you in the terminal pickup area with the keys, so you drive away without leaving the port.
The nearest counters are at Miami International Airport, roughly 8 miles west, plus scattered downtown Miami and Brickell branches. All of them require a shuttle, taxi or rideshare from the terminal. We deliver to the terminal itself — so the closest car rental to Port of Miami is wherever your ship docks.
Car rates start at $85/day for the Chevrolet Equinox EV, $89 for the Tesla Model 3, $90 for the Nissan Rogue SV, $95 for the Tesla Model Y and $115 for the 8-passenger Nissan Pathfinder SV. A $10/day booking fee and 7.5% Florida sales tax are added at checkout, and multi-day discounts apply automatically (5% at 3+ days, 10% at 7+, 20% at 30+). A 7-day Equinox EV is $535.50 for the car, or about $645.66 all-in. Protection is required — $0 with your own comprehensive and collision, otherwise $50.13/day. Terminal delivery is $120 flat, or free on 7+ day rentals. Estimate your exact total →
The Chevrolet Equinox EV RS at $85/day is the lowest car rate. Over 7 days the 10% multi-day discount brings the car rate to $535.50, about $645.66 all-in once the booking fee and sales tax are added, assuming you use your own comprehensive and collision coverage. Terminal delivery is free at 7 days. The Tesla Model 3 is next at $89/day.
Every rental must carry comprehensive and collision coverage under our rental policy, and we can't release a vehicle without it. Florida law separately requires liability and personal injury protection coverage. If your own auto policy carries comprehensive and collision and extends to rental vehicles, it acts as primary coverage and you pay nothing extra — we verify it through Canopy Connect before delivery, and the named insured must match the renter. Otherwise a Bonzah protection plan is $50.13/day, added during booking with nothing to verify. Cruise passengers: check your policy before you sail — verification is far easier on land than at sea. Every rental includes 300 miles per day. Miles beyond that are billed at the per-mile overage rate shown at booking. Unlimited mileage is $59 flat but must be added at booking and cannot be added later. For reference: PortMiami to Key West and back is roughly 330 miles total, and PortMiami to Fort Lauderdale is about 30 miles each way — so the standard allowance covers most post-cruise trips. The vehicle must remain within Florida. Requirements & fees →
Yes, and we collect it too. If you are driving into Miami before a cruise, keep the car until sailing day, then hand it back to us at the terminal on your way to check-in. There is no need to park at the port for the length of your voyage or return a vehicle to an airport branch first.
All of them — Terminal A for Royal Caribbean, Terminals B, C, D, E and F, Terminal G, and Terminals J and K for Carnival, MSC, Norwegian, Virgin Voyages and Disney sailings. Terminal assignments shift by season and by sailing, so tell us your ship and disembarkation date when you book and we confirm the exact meeting point the day before.
Give us the ship name when you book and we track its arrival. Cruise schedules slip, so we build a delivery window rather than a fixed time and adjust on the day at no extra charge. Text us at (786) 981-1177 once you clear customs and we confirm where to meet.
Amped Auto Rentals vehicles do. Every car has an active SunPass transponder already fitted at no charge. Tolls are billed to you at cost after the rental ends — no daily transponder fee, no per-toll administrative fee and no toll package to buy. Do not attach your own transponder, because the gantry can read both and bill the toll twice. Full toll explainer →
Tolled: Florida's Turnpike and the Homestead Extension, the Dolphin Expressway (SR-836) toward Miami International Airport, the Airport Expressway (SR-112), the I-95 and Palmetto express lanes, the Rickenbacker Causeway to Key Biscayne and the Venetian Causeway.
Not tolled: the MacArthur Causeway and the Julia Tuttle Causeway, which are the two routes to Miami Beach, plus US-1, Biscayne Boulevard and the regular lanes of I-95. Driving the Keys, US-1 south of Florida City is toll-free for its entire length including all forty-two bridges.
The minimum age is 21. Renters aged 21–24 may be subject to a young driver surcharge — call (786) 981-1177 for the exact amount before booking. You will need a valid, unexpired driver's license held throughout the rental, and identity is verified before delivery using your license, date of birth and a live photo. The payment card must be one you are legally authorized to use; if it belongs to someone else, both of you are jointly liable. Additional drivers are $25 and must be approved in writing beforehand. Sailing with an international party? Out-of-state and international licenses are accepted at our discretion — confirm by phone before you sail. All requirements →
For direct bookings: cancel 48+ hours before start for a full refund including the delivery fee. 24–48 hours before, you get a refund minus one average day plus 50% of the delivery fee. Early returns are refunded for full unused days if approved 24+ hours ahead, minus a $25 admin fee. Cruise delays and itinerary changes are reviewed case by case — tell us as early as you can. No. We collect from wherever you finish, anywhere within 50 miles of Miami Gardens. Many cruise passengers disembark at PortMiami, drive to a hotel, the Florida Keys or Fort Lauderdale, and have us pick up from there. One-way return inside the delivery zone costs nothing extra.
Yes. MIA is about 8 miles west of PortMiami and we collect from any of its three covered garages — Ibis, which opened in December 2025 and serves Concourses H–J; Dolphin, which serves Concourses D–E; and Flamingo, which serves Concourses E–J. Ibis is the only MIA garage with public EV charging, with 50 ChargePoint ports on levels 1 to 5 — useful if you want to top up after driving the Keys before you fly home. Tell us your airline and we confirm the garage and level.
Yes. We deliver to the cruise terminal and collect at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, or anywhere else inside the 50-mile radius. This is a common route for passengers who dock at PortMiami and fly home from FLL. There is no one-way surcharge inside the delivery zone.
