What Do You Need to Rent a Car in Miami?
You need to be at least 21 with a valid, unexpired driver’s licence, complete digital identity verification before handover, pay with a card you are authorized to use, and hold qualifying comprehensive and collision coverage or select Bonzah Standard Protection. A $250 security deposit is collected on direct bookings. Everything here comes from our Terms & Conditions, which govern in full.
👤 Who can rent
- Minimum age 21. Renters aged 21–24 may be subject to a young driver surcharge — call us for the exact amount before booking.
- Valid, unexpired driver's license held for at least 2 years and throughout the rental period.
- A signed Credit Card Authorization Form is required on every rental and must be received and verified before the vehicle is released.
- Identity verified before delivery — license, date of birth and a live photo.
- The payment card must be one you are legally authorized to use. If it belongs to someone else, both of you are jointly liable for charges.
- Additional drivers ($25) must be approved by us in writing before the rental.

🚗 Mileage & where you can drive
- Every rental includes 300 miles per day. Miles beyond that are billed at the per-mile rate shown at booking.
- Unlimited mileage is $25 per day on eligible direct rentals of 14 days or fewer and must be selected at booking.
- The vehicle must stay within Florida. Driving out of state without prior written approval voids all coverage.
- Operation in Mexico is prohibited under all circumstances.

⚡ Returning the vehicle
- Electric vehicles: return at 75% or higher and no Recharge Service Fee applies; 20–74% is a $35 Recharge Service Fee and below 20% a $60 Low-Battery Recharge Service Fee (not stacked). Gasoline vehicles: return at the fuel level documented at handover.
- Optional Skip the Recharge ($40 per rental) waives the $35 fee only; the EV must still come back at 20% or higher, and it does not cover electricity used during the rental.
- Tesla rentals stay on Amped’s Tesla account, so Supercharger sessions are billed through Amped and reconciled with you after the rental; see the EV charging guide.
- All keys, cables, adapters and accessories must come back with the car.
Every vehicle is 100% non-smoking and non-vaping, including cannabis and e-cigarettes. A flat $400 fee applies to any evidence of smoking, with no exceptions.
None of these apply to a normal rental returned on time, charged and clean. They are listed so nothing surprises you.
