What Can Change the Final Price?
Seven things move the total: rental duration (the 3-, 7- and 30-day discounts and whether delivery is included); the vehicle ($85 to $115 per day); delivery choice (free self-pickup, $120 delivery under 7 days, or included at 7+); optional protection if you do not use qualifying personal insurance; optional extras such as an additional driver, child seat, cooler or Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised); the mileage option ($25/day unlimited on eligible direct rentals of 14 days or fewer); and applicable taxes and statutory charges. The $250 security deposit is collected separately and is not a rental charge.
FLL Airport Car Rental Without an Amped Counter
Amped Auto Rentals does not operate a rental counter at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. For eligible airport reservations, the vehicle is staged before the scheduled handoff in the designated Peer-to-Peer area on Level 7 of the Cypress Garage, in a parking location assigned to your booking; the location and access instructions are sent to you before your arrival time. Airport delivery and collection are $120 on qualifying rentals under 7 days and included on rentals of 7 days or more.
Where Is the Amped Vehicle at FLL?
We stage your vehicle in the designated Peer-to-Peer area of the Cypress Garage, Level 7, ahead of your scheduled handoff, in the parking location assigned to your booking, and send your assigned parking location and pickup instructions before your scheduled handoff. You walk to it and drive out. There is no counter to visit and no agent to wait for. At FLL, the applicable Cypress Garage exit parking charge is paid by the renter when driving out at pickup.
How this differs from the counter. The Rental Car Center is where the counter brands operate, and counter wait times vary. Your car is already staged in the garage. The only thing between you and it is the walk across the sky bridge from Terminal 1, or the shuttle used to reach the Rental Car Center area from Terminals 2, 3 and 4.
How to Reach Cypress Garage From Your Terminal
The route differs by terminal: Terminal 1 crosses the sky bridge to the Cypress Garage, while Terminals 2, 3 and 4 use the airport shuttle to the garage. Pick your terminal for photographs of that route.
- In Terminal 1 Arrivals, proceed to Baggage Claim carousel 6, then follow signs labelled “Cypress Garage” up a level using the escalators.
- Keep following the “Cypress Garage” signs to the sky bridge connecting the terminal to the garage and Rental Car Center.
- Cross the sky bridge to the Cypress Garage / Rental Car Center. No shuttle is needed from Terminal 1.
- Once inside the Rental Car Center, turn left and follow the signs to the elevators.
- Take the elevator to the 7th floor.

Returning Your Rental at FLL
Return to the Cypress Garage parking location confirmed for your reservation — follow the return instructions provided for your reservation. Leave the keys where we tell you, take the elevator down, then follow the route for your terminal. Terminal 1 connects by sky bridge; Terminals 2, 3 and 4 use the Rental Car Center shuttle. It is the arrival route in reverse.
- Charge or fuel first. Gasoline vehicles come back at the fuel level documented at release (missing fuel is charged at actual cost plus a $25 Refueling Service Fee). On direct bookings an EV comes back at 75% or higher to avoid a Recharge Service Fee; 20–74% is $35 and below 20% is $60, or add Skip the Recharge ($40, 20% minimum) at booking.
- Allow sufficient time to park, travel from the Rental Car Center area to your terminal, and complete airport security. Travel and security times vary with airport conditions.
- Park in the confirmed location on level 7. If it is full, any available parking space in the Cypress Garage is permitted — park there and tell us the level and space.
- Photograph the car where you left it. We do the same at collection and you get copies of both.
- Head back to your terminal. For Terminal 1, cross the sky bridge from the Rental Car Center; for Terminals 2, 3 and 4, take the Rental Car Center shuttle, following the airport signs.
- You are done. There is no counter and no queue; collection is confirmed from the photographs and the location you send.

To rent from Amped Auto Rentals in Fort Lauderdale you must be at least 21 with a valid, unexpired driver’s licence, complete digital identity verification before handover, sign the Credit Card Authorization Form, pay with a card you are authorized to use, and hold qualifying comprehensive and collision coverage or select optional protection at booking. Mileage
- Every rental includes 300 miles per day. Miles beyond that are billed at the per-mile rate shown at booking.
- Unlimited mileage is $25 per day on eligible direct rentals of 14 days or fewer and must be selected at booking — it cannot be added once the rental starts.
- The vehicle must stay within Florida. Driving out of state without prior written approval voids all coverage.
- Operation in Mexico is prohibited under all circumstances.

Customers may use qualifying personal auto insurance when the policy includes comprehensive and collision coverage that extends to the Amped rental vehicle and is verified through Canopy Connect before vehicle release.

Flying into FLL? Documented flight cancellations are reviewed case by case — send documentation within 48 hours. Hospitalization and natural disasters are treated the same way. Booked through Turo instead? Turo's cancellation policy governs those trips, not this one.
Returning Your Rental in a Different South Florida Location
Yes. An approved different return location may be arranged when both the pickup and return locations are within Amped Auto Rentals’ service area and are confirmed in advance, and no separate one-way surcharge applies under the current policy. The normal delivery and collection pricing still applies according to rental duration and location eligibility: $120 on qualifying rentals under 7 days, included at applicable locations on 7 days or more.
Examples that can be approved: FLL Cypress Garage to a qualifying Miami location; a qualifying Fort Lauderdale hotel to FLL; a qualifying Port Everglades-area pickup to an approved airport return. No location is promised before approval, returns outside the service area are not accepted, and the vehicle must remain within Florida.

For eligible airport reservations the vehicle is staged before your scheduled handoff in the designated Peer-to-Peer area on Level 7 of the Cypress Garage, and the assigned parking location and access instructions are sent to you before you land.
