Customers who plan to rely on personal auto insurance must complete the required insurance verification, and the personal policy must extend appropriate coverage to the rental vehicle before Amped Auto Rentals will accept it. The difference is where that gets settled: online, before you arrive, rather than at a counter while a queue forms behind you.

If your current personal auto insurance includes comprehensive and collision coverage and Amped verifies that your rental coverage extends to the Amped vehicle you are renting, you may use your qualifying personal insurance instead of purchasing the $50.13/day Bonzah protection option. Vehicle-access instructions are sent before your scheduled pickup and depend on the vehicle. Tesla vehicles may use digital phone-key access; other vehicles use a secure physical-key workflow. The instructions you receive are specific to your reserved vehicle and handoff location.
A valid driver license and proof of qualifying insurance, verified digitally before the handoff as applicable to your booking. A $250 security deposit is collected at the time of booking. Any authorized charges under the rental agreement may be deducted from it, and the unused balance is refunded. Completing these steps in advance is what allows the handoff to happen without a service-desk transaction.
Pickup, return and delivery appointments are available from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM, seven days a week. Third-party facility access hours, such as an airport garage, are separate from Amped’s handoff hours.
Yes, at qualifying locations within 50 miles of Miami Gardens, including Miami-Dade, Broward and qualifying parts of Palm Beach County. Delivery and collection are free on rentals of 7 days or longer at qualifying locations; rentals under 7 days carry a $120 flat delivery-and-collection fee. Yes. Amped Auto Rentals is a Turo Power Host and All-Star Host, and qualifying fleet vehicles may also be listed through Turo. Direct reservations are governed by Amped Auto Rentals’ rental terms, while Turo reservations are governed by Turo’s platform terms, policies and protection plans.
