👤 Who can rent
- Minimum age 21. Renters aged 21–24 may be subject to a young driver surcharge — call us for the exact amount before booking.
- Valid, unexpired driver's license held throughout the rental period.
- Identity verified before delivery — license, date of birth and a live photo.
- The payment card must be one you are legally authorized to use. If it belongs to someone else, both of you are jointly liable for charges.
- Additional drivers ($25) must be approved by us in writing before the rental.
Out-of-state and international licenses are accepted at our discretion. FLL takes direct flights from Canada, Brazil, Colombia and across Europe — call (786) 981-1177 to confirm before you fly, not after you land.
🚗 Mileage & where you can drive
- Every rental includes 300 miles per day. Miles beyond that are billed at the per-mile rate shown at booking.
- Unlimited mileage is a flat $59 per rental, but it must be added at booking — it cannot be added once the rental starts.
- The vehicle must stay within Florida. Driving out of state without prior written approval voids all coverage.
- Operation in Mexico is prohibited under all circumstances.
From Fort Lauderdale: Miami is about 30 miles each way, Palm Beach about 45, Orlando roughly 200, and Key West and back is around 380 miles total. The 300-mile daily allowance covers everyday Broward driving comfortably — add unlimited miles if the Keys are on the itinerary.
⚡ Returning the vehicle
- Return with the battery at or above the level delivered (minimum 80%). Below 80% is a $35 fee; below 20% is $60.
- Rather not stop to charge before drop-off? Add Prepaid EV recharge for $40 and pay the return charge up front — just leave at least 30 miles of range.
- You cover your own charging during the rental. Tesla Supercharger sessions are billed to us and invoiced after the rental ends.
- All keys, cables, adapters and accessories must come back with the car.
Every vehicle is 100% non-smoking and non-vaping, including cannabis and e-cigarettes. A flat $400 fee applies to any evidence of smoking, with no exceptions.

A 12-stall Tesla Supercharger is on the forecourt
The meeting point is a Tesla Supercharger site — twelve stalls, up to 325 kW, with 24-hour public access, and a NACS partner site, so the Chevrolet Equinox EV charges there with the adapter we supply. There is another 24-stall Supercharger at Seminole Classic Casino 2.3 miles north, and Electrify America CCS across the street at Walmart.
It matters most on the return. EVs come back at or above the level delivered, minimum 80%, so you top up on the same forecourt where you hand the keys over. No detour, no battery return fee.

We stage your vehicle in the Cypress Garage on level 7 before you land, in the row assigned to your booking, and text you the exact level, row and space with photographs. You walk to it and drive out. There is no counter to visit, no agent to wait for, and no return trip to a remote lot when you leave.
Why this beats the Rental Car Center. The RCC is where every counter brand operates, and on a busy arrival bank the queue alone runs 30 to 60 minutes before anyone hands you keys — then the upsell, then the walk to the row. Your car is already in the garage. The only thing between you and it is the shuttle everyone takes anyway.

Returning the Car Before Your Flight
The part every counter brand explains and almost no delivery company does. Here it is.
Flying out of FLL
Return to the same Cypress Garage level and row we confirmed for your pickup — we resend it the day before with photographs. Leave the keys where we tell you, take the elevator down, and the shuttle from the Rental Car Center runs to every terminal. It is the arrival walk in reverse.
- Charge or fuel first. EVs come back at or above the level delivered, minimum 80%. The Hollywood meeting point has 12 Superchargers and fuel pumps and is about 15 minutes from the airport — the easiest last stop. Prefer not to? Add Prepaid EV recharge for $40 at booking and just leave 30 miles of range.
- Allow about 30 minutes from garage to gate: park, walk to the elevator, shuttle to your terminal, then security. Add time in the morning bank.
- Park in the confirmed row on level 7. If it is full, take any open Cypress Garage space and text us the level and row — that is all we need.
- Photograph the car where you left it. We do the same at collection and you get copies of both.
- Take the shuttle from the Rental Car Center to your terminal. Same bus, same stop D, opposite direction.
- You are done. No counter, no queue, no agent walking around the car with a clipboard while you watch the clock.
Returning somewhere else instead? Different pickup and return locations may be arranged at approved locations within our qualifying South Florida service area — for example fly into FLL and out of Miami International, drop at your hotel, or leave it at Port Everglades before a cruise. No. Amped Auto Rentals does not operate a rental counter, branch or office at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Pickups and returns take place in the Cypress Garage, Level 7, Peer-to-Peer area, which is the airport’s designated location for that type of handoff. Free self-pickup is also available at the designated Hollywood meeting point about six miles from the terminals.

Return to the same Cypress Garage level and row confirmed for your pickup — we resend it the day before with photographs. Charge or fuel first: EVs come back at or above the level delivered, minimum 80%, and the Hollywood meeting point has 12 Superchargers and fuel pumps about 15 minutes from the airport. Allow roughly 30 minutes garage to gate — park, elevator down, the Rental Car Center shuttle to your terminal, then security. Photograph where you left it. No counter, no queue, no agent inspection. Yes. Different pickup and return locations may be arranged at approved locations within Amped Auto Rentals’ qualifying South Florida service area. For example, a renter may pick up near FLL and request an approved return location in Miami for a flight or cruise. Tell us your pickup and return locations when booking so we can confirm that both locations qualify and plan the collection. Delivery and collection are free on rentals of 7 days or longer at qualifying locations within the service area; rentals under 7 days carry a $120 flat delivery-and-collection fee. Under 7 days the flat $120 covers both legs; at 7+ days both are free.
5:00 AM to 11:30 PM, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. That applies to self-pickup at the Hollywood meeting point, to the FLL Cypress Garage handover and to delivery appointments at qualifying locations within the service area. Those hours cover the first departure bank at FLL and almost every late arrival — a 6:00 AM flight or an 11:00 PM landing both work. Three ways. Self-pickup at the Wawa, 106 S State Road 7, Hollywood, FL 33023 — a meeting point only, about 6 miles from FLL. It is not an office or a rental counter, and Wawa staff have no information about your rental. Flying in? We stage the car in the FLL Cypress Garage, level 7 and text the exact space before you land. The route is the same from all four terminals. Exit your terminal following Ground Transportation down to the lower level, go to shuttle stop D, and ride to the Cypress Garage and Rental Car Center. Get off at Stop-D, enter through the main doors, follow signs to the elevators and go up to level 7. Your vehicle is parked in the row assigned to your booking. We text you the exact level, row and space with photographs before you land, so you walk from the shuttle straight to the car — no counter, no agent, no queue. Yes. We deliver to Port Everglades for disembarking passengers and collect from the terminal on sailing day for those driving in beforehand — so you never pay to park at the port for the length of a voyage. Port Everglades is about 8 miles from our Hollywood meeting point and roughly 10 minutes from FLL, so a cruise-in, fly-out trip works easily. Tell us your ship and date when you book. Yes. We deliver to Bahia Mar Yachting Center at 801 Seabreeze Boulevard, the Bahia Mar shopping area, and along A1A and Fort Lauderdale Beach. If you are docked for a week and need a car, we bring it to the marina and collect from an approved return location within our qualifying South Florida service area; confirm both locations when booking. Electric rates start at $85/day for the Chevrolet Equinox EV, with the Tesla Model 3 at $89/day and the Tesla Model Y at $95/day. Gasoline SUVs are also available — the Nissan Rogue SV at $90/day and the 8-passenger Nissan Pathfinder SV at $115/day. Delivery and collection are free on rentals of 7 days or longer at qualifying locations within the service area; rentals under 7 days carry a $120 flat delivery-and-collection fee. A $250 refundable security pre-authorization applies.
Yes. We meet you in the FLL Cypress Garage, Level 7, Peer-to-Peer area with your reserved rental vehicle, so you skip the traditional rental counter. You reach the garage on the airport's own Rental Car Center shuttle from any terminal. Book your flight arrival time and we'll be there.
The Chevrolet Equinox EV RS at $85/day is our lowest car rental rate. The lowest total is usually 7 days or more — the 10% multi-day discount kicks in and delivery becomes free, saving $120. That's $535.50 for the car, or about $645.66 all-in with the $10/day booking fee and 7.5% Florida sales tax. At 30+ days the discount rises to 20%, putting the monthly car rate at $2,040. Yes. Every rental must carry comprehensive and collision coverage — we can't release a vehicle without it. If your own auto policy carries both and extends to rentals, it acts as primary coverage and you pay nothing extra; we verify it through Canopy Connect before delivery, your declarations page must show both coverages with active dates, and the named insured must match the renter. Every rental includes 300 miles per day. Miles beyond that are billed at the per-mile overage rate shown at booking. Unlimited mileage is $59 flat but must be added at booking — it can't be added later. From Fort Lauderdale, Miami is about 30 miles each way, Palm Beach about 45, and Key West and back is roughly 380 miles total, so add unlimited miles if the Keys are on the itinerary. The minimum age is 21. Renters aged 21–24 may be subject to a young driver surcharge — call (786) 981-1177 for the exact amount before booking. You'll need a valid, unexpired driver's license held throughout the rental, and identity is verified before delivery using your license, date of birth and a live photo. For direct bookings: cancel 48+ hours before start for a full refund including the delivery fee. 24–48 hours before, refund minus one average day plus 50% of the delivery fee. Under 24 hours, no refund. There's a 15-minute grace period after booking for a full refund, and bookings made within 24 hours of start can be cancelled free within 4 hours.
